The Annual Freedom Days Parade features floats, bands, walking groups, cool cars and much more. The parade starts in front of the 101 Cafe (Coast Highway at Wisconsin Avenue) at 10:00 a.m. and works its way north with the first unit of the parade reaching City Hall (Civic Center Drive) around 10:45 a.m. Running time from beginning to end is about two hours. Viewing of the parade is available from the sidewalks along the entire route. Spectators are encouraged to bring folding chairs.

Sunday, July 4: Art in the Park (Spreckels Park, 6th & Orange 8:00 am - 4:00 pm), Annual 15K Run 5K Run/Walk (Tidelands Park - 7:00 am), Rough Water Swim (Central Beach - 9:00 am), concludes with a Concert in Spreckles Park at 6:00 pm and Fireworks over Glorietta Bay at 9:00 pm.

Now called the Big Bay Boom, a display of some of the most technically advanced pyrotechnics will be fired from four barges floating in the bay off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero area and Seaport Village, and will last more than 17 minutes. Fireworks will also be discharged at the Imperial Beach Pier. Good Viewing Areas: Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Spanish Landing, Seaport Village, Embarcadero Marina Park North, Tuna Harbor, Coronado Landing, & Coronado Tidelands Park, or on your own yacht on the bay…uh-huh.

A spectacular evening fireworks show can be seen near Sea World and East Mission Bay. Fireworks will be launched from a sandy mound on Fiesta Island and can be seen from surrounding areas.

Celebrate this Independence Day by viewing a spectacular boat parade and fireworks show near the Mission Bay Yacht Club. With each explosion, you'll see beautiful splashes of color in the night sky. Fireworks will be launched from a floating barge in the bay.

Today, you'll be entertained by lively American music and a costumed dance performance at Balboa Park. A little cottage representing the United States of America will be open to visitors where you can learn about our culture. Light refreshments will be available. No admission fee.

Padres vs Houston Astros: Enjoy a Padres game with the family while they beat the Houston Astros on Independence Day this year. Supposed to be fireworks after the event, but has not been confirmed.

An historic 1800s 4th of July celebration in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park! The celebration will have games galore for the entire family. Sack races, needle in a haystack, pie-eating contest, egg toss and much more! Entertainment on stage during the day, and a special 12:00 noon flag raising and parade. Re-enactors from San Pasqual Battlefield Volunteer Association will liven up the day with demonstrations of cannon firing. Lemonade and popcorn available for only twenty five cents. Come early to participate in the parade and stay late to relax in the plaza while enjoying patriotic music and activities.

There's a lot going on at this Independence Day celebration! The day will begin with a 5K Run at 7:00 am and pancake breakfast and will continue with a full day of fun festivities. Highlights include a bike & pet parade, food & beer, continuous music, dancing, scavenger hunt, sack race, rock wall, jumpers, dunk tank, a monkey bridge and more!

Enjoy a variety of free entertainment. The celebration will feature magicians, baton twirlers, children's arts projects, musical performances, and old-fashioned contests. Refreshments will be available for purchase, or pack a picnic. No alcohol, BBQ's or pets allowed. Fireworks begin at 9:00 pm.

To enhance the celebration of your Independence Day, an evening fireworks show can be seen above the golf course at the La Jolla Country Club. Fireworks are launched from the golf course on the first fairway. Free to watch.

Celebrate the 4th with a food and music festival at the Lake Murray Community Park. Lay out blankets in a picnic-type setting and enjoy ongoing music, tasty food, and non-alcohol beverages.

The Community Services Department presents a 4th of July Fireworks Celebration! DJ music will keep you entertained as the fireworks are being prepared. Fireworks at 9:00 pm. Ticket prices aren't posted this year (yet), but were only $2 at the gate in 2009 and children under 11 accompanied by an adult were free. Pre-packaged food and drinks as well as glow necklaces will be sold as part of the Booster's fundraising efforts.

Celebrate Independence Day at this patriotic festival in Rancho Bernardo. The day will begin in Webb Park with a pancake breakfast and continue with a festival of music, food, beer, crafts, games, a parade, and fireworks. Don't miss the Wheels of Freedom Motor Show (9:00 am - 2:30 pm).

Valley Center has pulled it off this year thanks to business & community donations, and the 2010 fireworks celebration is a GO! The Independence Day celebration is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm and the fireworks will last for a full 20 minutes. Kudos to Crew & crew!
