Canyoneer's Guided Nature Walks
Dates, Times, & Locations Vary
Go for a leisurely walk with a group led by a trail guide (canyoneer) and learn
about plants and animals. Canyoneers are San Diego Natural History Museum volunteers
trained to teach appreciation of plants and animals in southern California. These programs
are interpretive nature walks, not endurance hikes, and Canyoneers try to accommodate the
desires and abilities of all participants. However, some of the walks can be taxing,
especially those in the desert or mountains. If you would like to accompany a more
leisurely group, ask the Canyoneer host when you sign in. Open to the public; no
