Africa Tram Safari

Africa Tram Safari

An exciting expedition for viewing all your favorite animals native to habitats and regions including Africa's desert, veldt, forest, and mountain habitats. From your tour vehicle you may see giraffes, rhinos, gazelles, ostriches, horned antelope, cape buffalo, zebras, wild swine, and much more!
Zone: African Plains    WEB PAGE

Asian Savanna

Arabian Oryx, a strikingly beautiful antelope with long, straight, and slender horns. The animal is being brought back from extinction. Przewalski's Horse, also known as the Asiatic wild horse, or Mongolian wild horse is a short-legged, stocky, pot-bellied horse with a spiky mane like a zebra.

Asian Savanna
Camels: humans domesticated camels 3,000 years ago. Today, humans still depend on them for transport across arid environments.   WEB PAGE

Lion Camp

Lion Camp

Close encounters of the African savanna kind! In one viewing area there is a thick glass window between you and the lions, allowing you to be within inches of the big cats. Another viewing area is a grassy plain where you can watch the lion pride interact. Lions cubs are on exhibit daily. Shiley's Cheetah Run, located near Lion Camp, is a unique, jaw-dropping experience for all guests. It's included with Park admission.    WEB PAGE

African Woods
Walk along a winding path to view okapis (the only living relatives to giraffes), white-backed vultures, gerenuk antelopes, giant eland, Egyptian vultures, and secretary birds. Giraffes feed at the top of the trees in the African savanna. Antelope graze around the bottom. The gerenuk gets the good stuff from right in the middle   WEB PAGE

Heart of Africa

African Outpost African Outpost
The ride path takes you around some of the field exhibits, giving you a chance to connect with the animals on a closer level. See warthogs, cheetahs, flamingos, and other denizens of Africa. This is the starting point for the Cart Safari tours.   WEB PAGE

African Plains
All antelope species have horns. In some species they are only found on the males; in others, both males and females have them. Horns stay attached, unlike a deer’s antlers that shed each year. Some antelope horns twist in interesting spirals; others are ridged. Still others grow in wide curves with a sharp point on the end. Giraffes, African Rhinos, Ostriches, Herons, Zebras, Vultures.   WEB PAGE
African Plains

Nairobi Village
A mix of animal exhibits, activity centers, shops, and restaurants.   In our cozy Bat House in Nairobi Village a camp of Rodrigues fruit bats observes guests from an upside-down perspective. Scattered around the lagoon area are paths and walkways to several animal exhibits & fun things for children to explore.  WEB PAGE
Mombassa Lagoon Mombasa Lagoon

Lemur Walk

The Safari Park’s Lemur Walk offers an immersive experience to get you up close to these most interesting mammals. You walk along a path inside the exhibit as ring-tailed lemurs frolic among the trees, branches, and path around you. Most lemurs spend their time up in the trees, resting, sleeping, feeding, and even giving birth. Yet ring-tailed lemurs spend a good part of their day on the ground. Lemurs are the world’s most endangered group of mammals.    WEB PAGE

Elephant Valley
